2024 Clemson OL Target Fletcher Westphal Commits to SEC School

Clemson has missed on an offensive line target, as Fletcher Westphal announced a commitment to Florida on Monday.

The 6-foot-8, 335-pound prospect, out of Tuscarora (Leesburg, Va), had a list of four finalists that included Clemson, Florida, Georgia and Arkansas.

Westphal, who is a Top-300 talent and one of the top five players in the state of Virginia, has long been a priority target for the Tigers, picking up an offer after an unofficial visit last June. He was one of six offensive linemen to attend Clemson’s big official visit weekend.

“The impression I’ve gotten on each visit to Clemson is that it’s a family,” Westphal told All Clemson Tigers in June. “This weekend I saw that on a whole other level and I am blown away.”

Westphal’s announcement still leaves the Tigers in search of two more offensive linemen. 3-star Ronan O’ Connell announced his commitment on July 4, and is still the only offensive line commit for Clemson in the 2024 class.
