College football is just around the corner. Here is a game-by-game prediction for the last six games of the Clemson Tigers 2024 regular season. Part one, which predicts the first half of Clemson's schedule, can be found here.
Virginia Cavaliers @ No. 14 Clemson Tigers
On Oct. 19, the Clemson Tigers will play Virginia in Death Valley. Coming off a 3-9 season in 2023, Virginia is expected to struggle again this season after failing to bring in any notable transfers or top recruits. This should be a second straight victory for Clemson, giving the team some confidence as they head down the home stretch of the regular season.
Record: 6-1
Louisville Cardinals @ No. 14 Clemson Tigers
On Nov. 2, Louisville will travel to Clemson in a battle between two teams looking to compete for the ACC Championship this season. Coming off a 10-win season in 2023, Louisville looks ready for another great season. However, Clemson’s defense and home-field advantage will be too much for the Cardinals, and the Tigers will come away with a tight victory.
Record: 7-1
No. 14 Clemson Tigers @ Virginia Tech Hokies
Virginia Tech enters the season as one of the most underrated teams in the country. The Hokies won five of their last seven games last season, and during that stretch, they had one of the most dominant offenses in the country.
If Virginia Tech has a productive season on offense like they did at the end of last season, they are a dark horse for the ACC Championship.
Not to mention, Virginia Tech is one of the hardest places to play in the entire country. Clemson will have their hands full and is on upset alert.
This is a trap game for the Tigers, and they will walk away with their first conference loss of the season.
Record: 7-2
No. 14 Clemson Tigers @ Pitt Panthers
On Nov. 16, the Clemson Tigers will travel to Pittsburgh for their second straight road game. Coming off a 3-9 season, the Pittsburgh Panthers are searching for their identity. It looks to be another tough year for the Panthers, and Clemson should dominate from the opening kickoff.
Record: 8-2
Citadel Bulldogs @ No. 14 Clemson Tigers
On Nov. 23, the Clemson Tigers will host the Citadel Bulldogs, a small military program from Charleston. Citadel has recently been one of the worst FCS programs in the country. This should be a game where Clemson fans get to see a lot of young faces on the team in the second half. Clemson should dominate the entire game on both sides of the ball.
Record: 9-2
South Carolina Gamecocks @ No. 14 Clemson Tigers
On Nov. 30, to close the season, Clemson will host their hated rival, the South Carolina Gamecocks. The last time South Carolina traveled to Clemson, the Gamecocks walked away with the victory. However, after beating South Carolina in Columbia last season, the Tigers will be looking to begin a streak of victories. Clemson should have no issue coming away with a win in 2024.
Record: 10-2
If the Clemson Tigers finish the regular season 10-2 with only one conference loss, they should find themselves in the ACC Championship. With a win, they would guarantee themselves a bid in the College Football Playoff. However, even with a loss, their resume would likely be good enough to earn a selection in the playoff.
