There are plenty of teams around college football that believe they have the most talented wide receiver room in the country. However, here are the top five wide receiver rooms in college football heading into the 2024 season.

5. Clemson Tigers

Clemson might be a surprise to a lot of people. Coming off a 2023 season where their leading receiver, Tyler Brown, had 531 yards, one might think the Tigers are lacking talent in the receiver room.

However, Clemson has one of the deepest receiver rooms in the country heading into 2024. There are eight wide receivers competing for playing time this season. Expect breakout seasons from Tyler Brown and Antonio Williams. Additionally, don’t be surprised to see a big impact from Troy Stellato, Noble Johnson, Adam Randall, and Ronan Hanafin.

Additionally, Clemson brought in two of the top receivers in the 2024 recruiting cycle, Bryant Wesco Jr. and T.J. Moore.

4. Texas Longhorns

Texas will also be a surprise to a lot of people after losing their top five receiving leaders from 2023 to the NFL Draft. However, the Longhorns were extremely aggressive in the transfer portal, and the names speak for themselves.

The Longhorns’ new No. 1 wide receiver, Isaiah Bond, and top tight end, Amari Niblack, both transferred in from Alabama. Their speed is their biggest threat. Bond was second among FBS receivers last year with 18 plays where he hit at least 20 miles per hour. Niblack is also one of the most athletic tight ends in the country.

The Longhorns also have Silas Bolden (Oregon State) and Matthew Golden (Houston), who both led their previous teams in receiving before transferring to Texas in the offseason.

3. Missouri Tigers

It would be disrespectful not to include the team that has the best wide receiver in all of college football, Luther Burden III. Last season, Burden III had 86 catches for 1,212 yards along with nine touchdowns.

The Tigers have great depth aside from their superstar. In fact, Missouri returns their top-five leading receivers from a year ago: wide receivers Burden, Theo Wease, Mookie Cooper, Marquis Johnson, and tight end Brett Norfleet.

2. Ohio State Buckeyes

Ohio State has one of the best receiving rooms year after year, and that streak continues this upcoming season. The Buckeyes have one of the best receivers in the country in Emeka Egbuka. He struggled with injuries last season, but when healthy, he is an issue for any defender.

After Egbuka, the Buckeyes are unproven but extremely talented. All eyes will be on true freshman Jeremiah Smith, who was the No. 1 overall recruit in the class of 2024. He’s the highest-rated wide receiver recruit since 2004.

1. Oregon Ducks

Oregon coming in at No. 1 on the list won't be a surprise to most people. Between Tez Johnson and Texas A&M transfer Evan Stewart, Oregon has the best receiving duo in college football. Johnson led all Power Five receivers this past season with 727 yards after the catch. Stewart missed five games in 2023 due to a leg injury, but the former top-10 overall recruit was second among FBS true freshmen in 2022 with 643 receiving yards.

Behind them, the Ducks will return four of their top five leading receivers from 2023, including Traeshon Holden and Gary Bryant Jr. Oregon will also return Terrance Ferguson, one of the top tight ends in the country.
