4-Star OL Announces Commitment to Clemson

Clemson has its first offensive line commitment of the 2025 class.

4-star Easton Ware (LCA, Lynchburg, Va) announced his verbal pledge on Wednesday, choosing the Tigers over other finalists Oklahoma, Auburn, Notre Dame, Michigan, Wisconsin, Wake Forest, Baylor, Duke and Cincinnati. However, it was the Fighting Irish that provided the biggest competition.

“It came down to these three things in the following order,” Ware said as he announced. “Who would develop me into the man God created me to be. No. 2, who would prepare me for life after football. No. 3, who would prepare me to play football at the collegiate level at the highest level, and who knows, maybe win the natty.”

The 6-foot-5, 300-pound Ware worked out at Dabo Swinney’s high school camp over the summer, then returned for an unofficial visit for the Tigers’ overtime loss to Florida State, leaving town with an offer in hand.

“It’s definitely been a big dream of mine,” Ware told All Clemson Tigers regarding the offer. “I went to a camp in the summer going into my sophomore year, one of their three-day camps. After that, it was kind of in my mind; that was when I started getting more serious about college recruiting. In my mind, I was thinking I would really consider playing for this school. Super, super cool school to have an offer from. It’s definitely a big deal, a big dream of mine to have one from them.”

Ware is also a teammate and close personal friend of current Clemson 4-star RB commit Gideon Davidson.

“When I first moved here, my freshman year, he was kind of like my first friend here, and it has grown ever since,” Ware said. “On the football field, we just kind of trust each other on the field. We know what they’re gonna do. You kind of have that chemistry together. He knows where my blocks gonna go, I know where he’s gonna cut back. And off the field, we just started growing more in our relationship. We’re always doing the same class, sitting next to each other, out in the hallways talking to each other. It just always keeps growing.”

The addition of Ware now gives Clemson three commitments in the 2025 recruiting class. Along with Davidson, he joins 4-star QB Blake Hebert, both of which announced back during the summer.
