4-Star OL Target Talks OL Coach Matt Luke, Next Visit to Clemson (Recruiting)

Offensive line is once again a critical need for Clemson in the 2025 class.

While the Tigers will have multiple targets on hand this weekend for Elite Junior Day, 4-star Ziyare Addison (Sumner, Riverview, Fl) is one that will not be able to make it in.

On Monday, Dabo Swinney, Garrett Riley, Tyler Grisham and Matt Luke all stopped by his school, and Addison shared some of his early impressions of the Tigers' new OL coach.

"His track record," Addison told All Clemson Tigers. "He has a history of developing players who go on to the NFL in the first-round of the draft. That's something I definitely want in a coach, someone who can help me reach my full potential."

It's a hire that seems to be already paying dividends out on the recruiting trail.

"I really enjoyed spending time with coach Luke breaking down film and watching games," Addison said. "He has a great way of teaching and explaining things, and I could tell he's genuinely passionate about helping his players improve."

Addison last visited Clemson for the Tigers' overtime loss to Florida State back in September, when he picked up his offer, and it was one that really stood out.

"It feels good to know that the Clemson football coaching staff has evaluated me carefully," he said. "They are a Top 10 program year in and year out. Most importantly, they are not just offering me a football scholarship based on hype, it means they truly want me to be a part of their program."

Addison is set to be in Miami this weekend for a camp, and will visit the Hurricanes while he is there. Florida State, one of his earlier offers, is on the radar, as are several other schools including Florida, Auburn and Penn State. Purdue just offered on Monday.

Getting back to Clemson is also part of the plan, as Addison said he is hoping to make it back in March during spring practice, a time that will allow him to get to know Luke even better.

"Overall, I think Coach Luke is a fantastic coach and an even better person," Addison said. "I'm so glad I had the opportunity to meet him, and I'm looking forward to getting to know him even better in the future."
