4-Star Tae Harris, Former UGA Commit, Announces Commitment to Clemson (Recruiting)

Clemson's 2025 recruiting class just keeps getting stronger.

4-star S Tae Harris (Cedartown, Ga) has announced a commitment to Clemson, choosing the Tigers over numerous other schools, including Georgia, Florida, Georgia Tech and Ole Miss.

“I want to be a first-round draft pick and I want to go where they develop those type of things,” Harris told ACT.

In total, Harris had more than 20 offers and was at one time committed to Georgia before backing off that verbal pledge in January. The Tigers almost immediately jumped in with an offer and Harris made it to campus for the last Junior Day on March 9.

“It definitely felt like home,” he said. “My mom loved it. She told me she could see the playing potential, and I was like,’the defensive secondary, that is the way I play the game of football.'”

The addition of Harris, who is a Top 200 talent and the 15th best safety in the country, now gives Clemson a total of 11 commitments in the current recruiting class that currently ranks No. 3 in the nation, per the 247 Composite Rankings.
