2024 in-state OL Kam Pringle announced a commitment to South Carolina on Sunday.
The 6-foot-7, 337-pound blue-chip talent out of Woodland (Dorchester) chose the Gamecocks over Clemson, Georgia, NC State, Tennessee and Florida.
Pringle, considered one of the Top 50 players in the class and the top player in the state, had long been one of Clemson's top OL targets, having made numerous visits to the Upstate throughout his recruitment.
"I'm trying to get to the highest level of football," Pringle told All Clemson after one of his visits. "I'm really trying to go anywhere that can get me to or prepare me for the NFL. Of course, I want to win but if I lose every game and end up a first-round pick, it is what is, you know."
With Elite Junior Day set for January 28, the Tigers will now move on to the remaining targets on the board. Fellow in-state prospects Blake Franks and Josiah Thompson, as well as Jameson Riggs, are all OL targets set to attend the annual event. All are blue-chip talents and all hold offers from Clemson.
