Right-hander Austin Gordon will make his first career start for the Tigers on Saturday at 2 p.m. The sophomore went 1-0 with two saves and a 5.14 earned run average in 17 relief appearances last season.
Right-hander Jay Dill will get the nod in the series finale on Sunday at noon. This will be Dill’s second-career start. He was 2-2 with a 5.45 ERA in 28 appearances in 2022.
Binghamton is going with LHP Thomas Babalis on Friday, RHP Gabe Driscoll on Saturday and RHP Ryan Bryggman on Sunday.
Clemson is in Year 1 of the Erik Bakich era. The former Michigan head coach and Clemson assistant took over in the offseason for Monte Lee.
