Billy Amick drove in four runs to help lead Clemson to an 8-1 road win over Georgia on Tuesday.
The Tigers have won three of the past four games and are now 20-14 on the season, while the Bulldogs drop to 18-15.
Rocco Reid allowed just one run on three hits over the first 2.2 innings in his first start of the season, and the Tigers’ bullpen combined to throw 6.1 innings of scoreless relief in the win.
After falling behind 1-0 in the bottom of the third, Clemson would come roaring back in the fourth, as Billy Amick hit a three-run homer out to left, putting the Tigers up 3-1.
Clemson would push across four more runs in the fourth, extending the lead to 7-1, with Will Taylor, Riley Bertram, Blake Wright and Amick each driving in a run.
Cam Cannarella would then drive in a run in the eighth for the Tigers final run of the night.
Player of the Game: Amick had a career day at the plate, going 3-for-4, with all three going for extra bases. On top of his three run homer in in the fourth, he also had an RBI double in the fifth, giving him a total of four runs driven in on the night. Amick now has three home runs and 14 RBI this season.
Key Moment: With two down in the fourth and trailing by a run, Wright singled back up the middle. After Bertram walked to put runners on first and second, Amick drove the first pitch he saw over the wall in left, putting Clemson up for good.
Stat of the Game: Seven Clemson pitchers combined to strike out 12 Georgia hitters in the contest. Reid, Tristan Smith and Jay Dill each recorded multiples strikeouts.
Up Next: The Tigers now return home this weekend as Notre Dame comes to town for a three-game ACC series. Game one is set for Friday, with first pitch at 8 p.m. The game will be televised on the ACCN.
