The first domino at offensive line has fallen for Clemson in the 2024 class.
4-star Ronan O’ Connell (Fred J. Page, Franklin, Tn) has announced a commitment to the Tigers, choosing Clemson over Tennessee and Wisconsin. In total, O’ Connell picked up close to three dozen offers.
The 6-foot-5, 290-pound prospect, who is one of the top players in the state of Tennessee, originally picked up his offer from Clemson after an unofficial visit back in April. He returned to campus in June for the big official visit weekend and followed that up with officials to Wisconsin and Tennessee.
O’ Connell, who Rivals ranks as the seventh best player in Tennessee, is the 14th commitment for Clemson in the 2024 class and is the sixth player to announce a verbal pledge since that first weekend in June. His addition moves the Tigers’ 2024 class to No. 10 in the country, per the 247 Composite Rankings.
While he is the first offensive linemen to commit, he is the fifth player on the offensive side of the ball to join the class. Going forward, expect the Tigers to add at least two more offensive linemen.
