CLEMSON — ESPN and ABC announced its four marquee matchups this fall, including Clemson’s Nov. 4 matchup against Notre Dame.
The Tigers will host the Irish at Death Valley in Clemson with a kickoff time to be determined at a later time. The game will be televised on ABC, according to the release.
Clemson leads the overall series, 4-3, but Notre Dame won the Week 10 showdown last season, 35-14. The two programs met just twice prior to 2015, with one coming in 1977 at Memorial Stadium and the second coming in South Bend in 1979.
Since 2015, Clemson and Notre Dame have met five times on the gridiron. Clemson won the 2015 contest, a 24-22 thriller at Death Valley, the 2018 Cotton Bowl as part of the College Football Playoff and the 2020 ACC Championship Game.
Notre Dame defeated the Tigers at home in 2020, in double overtime when Clemson was No. 1 in the country, and then last season’s game in South Bend.
The other three marquee matchups announced by ESPN on Tuesday are the Sept. 3 matchup between Florida State and LSU, Texas-Alabama on Sept. 9 and Oklahoma-Texas on Oct. 7.
