Clemson Offer 'Definitely Different' for 2024 OL William Satterwhite (Recruiting)

William Satterwhite

William Satterwhite is one of the more sought-after offensive linemen in the 2024 class.

The 6-foot-3, 290-pound prospect out of Archbishop Hoban in Akron, Ohio has accumulated more than 30 offers to date. Alabama, Auburn, Georgia, Michigan and Penn State are just a few of the football programs pursuing the 4-star player.

You can now add Clemson to that long list of schools, as the Tigers have now offered Satterwhite after he recently made his first visit to campus.

"I really liked everything, enjoyed the campus as well," Satterwhite told All Clemson Tigers. "Really had a good time when I was down there."

With Clemson being so selective about who they actually offer, Satterwhite said the offer from the Tigers hit a little different.

"This one is most definitely different," Satterwhite said. "They've offered only like 50 guys in my class. To be in that select club and got it directly from coach Swinney, that was really cool."

Finally getting on campus and attending a practice also gave Satterwhite a chance to get better acquainted with Thomas Austin. Watching the Tigers' second year offensive line coach in action also gave him a better idea of Austin's coaching style.

"It's really blossomed," Satterwhite said of his relationship with Austin. "We talk quite often actually. Being down there and seeing him in person really helped build the relationship more. His coaching style is unique since he was in the NFL and played college. So he just uses his experience."

Satterwhite said he has no timeline when it comes to making a decision. He has also yet to lock in any dates for official visits this summer. However, he also said that he intends to get back to Clemson at some point.

"I for sure want to go back down there," Satterwhite said. "Nothing set in stone, but for sure want to get back there. Everything's not lined up right now, just still kind of figuring things out really."

For now, Satterwhite is just planning to take things as they come and looking for a school that he feels like best suits him as a player and student.

"The academic side of things," he said of what he is looking for in a school. "The program history and the coaches that are there as well."
