Clemson OL Target Easton Ware Recaps Clemson Visit: ‘Never Seen Anything Like That Before’

Easton Ware is starting to see his recruitment really take off.

The 2025 OL, out of Lynchburg Christian Academy (Lynchburg, Va), has picked up several high-profile offers over the past few weeks, including one from both Notre Dame and Auburn.

Ware also picked up an offer from Clemson late last month while visiting for the Florida State game. The 3-star prospect had high praise for the environment.

“Their stadium is the most energetic I’ve ever been in, the loudest by far,” Easton told All Clemson Tigers. “The Tiger Walk is super cool. I think their facilities are super nice. Their locker room is one of the nicest I’ve seen. And also, the coaches. The way they treat their players. It’s just… I haven’t seen anything like that before.”

While Ware was hoping he would come away with an offer, he did not go on the visit expecting one.

“I really didn’t have an idea,” Ware said. “I was really hoping for it. And so, it worked out.”

Ware is a high school teammate of 2025 Clemson RB commit Gideon Davidson. His first exposure to Clemson came during a camp he attended with Davidson and he has dreamed of earning an offer ever since.

“It’s definitely been a big dream of mine,” he said. “I went to a camp in the summer going into my sophomore year with Gideon, one of their three-day camps. After that, it was kind of in my mind; that was when I started getting more serious about college recruiting. In my mind, I was thinking I would really consider playing for this school. Super, super cool school to have an offer from. It’s definitely a big deal, a big dream of mine to have one from them.”

In fact, Ware and Davidson are more than just teammates. They are close personal friends, and have been since Ware moved to the area ahead of his freshman year in high school. It’s the kind of relationship that has allowed them to form a rather unique bond on the field of play.

“When I first moved here, my freshman year, he was kind of like my first friend here, and it has grown ever since,” Ware said. “On the football field, we just kind of trust each other on the field. We know what they’re gonna do. You kind of have that chemistry together. He knows where my blocks gonna go, I know where he’s gonna cut back. And off the field, we just started growing more in our relationship. We’re always doing the same class, sitting next to each other, out in the hallways talking to each other. It just always keeps growing.”

And when asked if he could see himself blocking for Davidson at the collegiate level, Ware made it clear that was definitely a possibility.

“Yeah, definitely. I’m highly considering that.”

Ware plans to have a decision made by next summer at the latest. He has already taken visits to Auburn and Duke, as well as the one to Clemson. He also has one scheduled to Notre Dame. Other schools he currently hears from the most include Virginia Tech, Cincinnati and Penn State.

He is looking for a school that he knows will not only develop him as a payer but one that will develop him as a man and prepare him for a life after the sport of football.

“How they treat the players,” Ware said. “Then how they’re going to set you up off the field for after football. Every player is going to eventually end up off the football field. So how they’re going to set me up in the real world. How they’re going to set me up as a man and actually prepare me to live a life outside of football.”
