Clemson Roster Update: Tigers Missing Several Key Defenders at NC State

Clemson will be without several defensive players for Saturday’s 2 p.m. game at NC State, including starting defensive end Justin Mascoll and backup defensive tackle Peter Woods.

Mascoll was injured during last week’s Miami game and did not make the travel roster provided by the university. Dabo Swinney, who didn’t elaborate on Mascoll’s specific issue, said he was day-to-day, but he won’t go against the Wolfpack.

Freshman T.J. Parker will likely start in Mascoll’s absence. Xavier Thomas, who plays on the other side of the defensive line, is back after missing last week’s game due to a suspension.

Woods was reportedly wearing a walking boot before last week’s game but played against the Hurricanes.

Cornerback Jeadyn Lukus, who’s also dealing with an undisclosed injury, is out as well. Starting safety R.J. Mickens was ruled out earlier in the week.

As expected, receiver Antonio Wiliams (toe) won’t play this week. He’s likely to miss several games. Freshman running back Jay Hanes also didn’t make the trip.

Here’s the full travel roster:
