Clemson junior running back Will Shipley will not return to the game at NC State.
Shipley went down in the second quarter after taking a hard shot to the back/neck area near the Wolfpack goal line following a run. Shipley was on the ground for several minutes before walking off on his own power.
He was examined in the medical tent but didn't return in the first half. The broadcast team for the CW said Dabo Swinney told them at halftime Shipley would not play in the second half.
There were no other specifics on his status.
Clemson RB Will Shipley took a scary hit to the neck/back. He was able to walk off under his own power slowly but has been ruled out for remainder of the game with undisclosed injury.
