GREENSBORO, N.C. (theACC.com) – Clemson’s Sofia Chepenik and Boston College’s Jenn Medjid shared Atlantic Coast Conference Women’s Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week honors, while Syracuse’s Delaney Sweitzer claimed the Defensive Player of the Week award. Chepenik and Medjid earned their first weekly honor of the season, while Sweitzer notched her second weekly award.

Chepenik totaled five goals last week in a pair of victories over Campbell and No. 13 Duke. After she scored a goal in a win over the Camels, the Palm Coast, Florida, native found the back of the net four times on six shots against the Blue Devils, as the Tigers recorded the program’s first-ever win over a ranked opponent. She scored the equalizer with 3:11 remaining in the game, then found the game winner at the 2:31 mark to hand Clemson the conference victory.

Medjid scored eight goals and handed out six assists in wins over Brown and Louisville. The Garden City, New York, native opened her week with three goals, including the eventual game winner, and a pair of assists in a 17-5 triumph over Brown. The attacker added to her goal total on Saturday with her fifth hat trick of the young season, as she posted five goals and added four assists in a 19-8 win over the Cardinals. Medjid had a hand in nine of the Eagles’ season-high 19 goals, as she continued her streak of 59 straight matches with at least one point.

Sweitzer scooped up six ground balls, caused three turnovers and made eight saves between the pipes in Syracuse’s 15-7 victory over No. 12 Notre Dame. The Hatfield, Pennsylvania, native made three saves on free-position opportunities and posted three key saves in the fourth quarter to help preserve the Orange lead. The goalkeeper has made 71 saves this season, the second-most in the ACC.
