Dabo Swinney Addresses the Media Post Practice

Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney met with the media for the final time before the Tigers take on the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets Saturday (12 pm, ABC) inside Memorial Stadium. Swinney covered a variety of topics following his team’s practice.

Here is what we heard:

  • On running back Will Shipley (concussion): “He looked good (at practice). He looked good. He’s been able to go all week. We’re trending in a good direction there.”
  • DT DeMonte Capehart: “He’s gonna be a great one. … Everybody’s looking for guys like him.”
  • Justin Mascoll (undisclosed injury) has been able to practice this week. “Hopefully, not setbacks. He’s doing good.”
  • On Georgia Tech QB Haynes King: “If you give him open space it’s not 5 yards, it’s 10, 15 yards … He can hurt you.”
