What We Heard

  • Barnes talks about his decision to commit to Clemson, noting the comfort level he felt with the coaching staff played a big part in his decision. Also talked about how much he appreciated the staff’s transparency with regards to knowing exactly where he stood throughout the process. It’s bigger than football here. It’s not just all talk.”
  • Barnes said as soon as he got the Clemson offer, after announcing his decommitment from Wake Forest, most of the members of his class were hitting him and recruiting him. Named Chris Vizzina, Peter Woods and Shelton Lewis by name.
  • Barnes talks about getting some early opportunities and how having veterans like Andrew Mukuba are helping him along the way.
  • Said Woods is a man of many talents. “If he was not on football, he would probably be on American Idol.” As far as how physically developed Woods is already, Barnes said, “he’s different.”
