Hunter Announces his Return to Clemson

CLEMSON — Clemson point guard Chase Hunter says he is returning to Clemson for another season.

The veteran guard announced via social media he has “unfinished business” at Clemson.

Hunter is coming off his best season as a Tiger. The 6-foot-3, 204-pound guard averaged 13.5 points per game, while playing in 31 of Clemson’s 33 games in 2022-’23.

The rising senior helped lead the Tigers to a 22-11 record, including a 14-6 mark in the ACC and a third-place finish in the ACC standings. The Tigers also advanced to the semifinals of the ACC Tournament.

Hunter averaged 4.45 assists and 3.0 rebounds per game. He had 138 assists to just 70 turnovers (2.25 per game). He shot 41 percent from the field and 35.6 from behind the three-point line. He also was an 81.3 percent free throw shooter.
