In-State LB Damarion Roman Recaps Recent Clemson Visit

A prominent in-state prospect made his way to Clemson for the Tigers’ home finale against North Carolina.

2026 LB Damarion Roman (Greenwood) recently talked with All Clemson Tigers to recap the experience.

“It felt like a great place to be,” Roman said. “The love and the atmosphere of the place.”

It was Roman’s second visit to campus this year, with the first coming back during the summer when he attended Dabo Swinney’s high school camp. Roman also has plans to camp at Clemson again this summer.

“I met and lot of coaches and players,” Roman said. “I’m looking forward to being back to camp this summer.”

Being just a sophomore, Roman is really just getting started when it comes to the recruiting process, but he is starting to hear from more schools, and he is very much looking forward to where this journey might lead him.

“I’ve been hearing from a lot of schools,” he said. “Looking forward to visiting them as well. I believe my name is starting to get out there a little bit.”

Roman feels like he would be a great fit in Wes Goodwin’s defense, and watching the Tigers harass Drake Maye for four quarters only reinforced that belief.

“I see myself fitting in well on the Clemson defense,” Roman said. Watching that game, seeing the linebackers warming up and playing, it was fun. Meeting Jermiah Trotter Jr and Barrett Carter in the locker room after the game.”

Clemson won’t start offering 2026 players until June of next year, and Roman said getting that call from the Clemson coaching staff would mean a lot.

“A Clemson offer would mean a lot,” Roman said. “I love the coaches and how much they care about you as a person and how great they want you to do in the classroom.”
