Injury News: Healthy, as can be, Tigers Set to Take on Tar Heels

CLEMSON—The Clemson Tigers are as healthy as any team can hope to be heading into Week 12 of the season.

Injury Updates from the Week:

Expected to be back and available vs. UNC: Barrett Carter, Sheridan Jones, Tyler Venables

Head coach Dabo Swinney addressed Carter Wednesday saying, “Has been day-to-day and is getting better each day.” 

Here is what Swinney said about the Tigers on Tuesday:

  • Swinney on Venables: Tyler Venables: “He’s back. They released him this week. He’ll be available. He hasn’t played, but he did scout team last week and won Scout Team Player of the Week for us. Everybody loves T-Bone. He’s been a coach for us and on the headset this season. He has really enjoyed that.” 
  • Swinney on Sheridan Jones: “We think has a chance this week. He’s working his way. Hopefully he’ll be available (Saturday).” 
  • Swinney on Antonio Williams: “He’s progressing. Maybe next week (vs. South Carolina). Not this week. For sure we think ready for the bowl.” 

Out vs. UNC: Antonio Williams, Jalyn Phillips, Marcus Tate, Jaedyn Lukus
