The road to Omaha will indeed go through Clemson this season.
The NCAA announced regional brackets and seedings on Monday, and the Tigers (43-17) will host as the No. 4 overall seed.
Joining the Tigers in Clemson are No. 4 Lipscomb (36-24), No. 3 Charlotte (34-26) and No. 2 Tennessee (38-19).
Clemson will open with Lipscomb on Friday.
Clemson will be paired with the Auburn regional, as the other Tigers are the 13 seed.
No. 4 Penn (32-14), No. 3 Samford (36-23) and No. 2 Southern Miss (41-17) are all a part of that regional.
The winner of each regional will face off in the super regional round, with the highest national seed hosting.
Erik Bakich’s team will take a 16 game winning streak into regional play. Clemson is in the midst of a dramatic turnaround that has seen the Tigers win 27 of its past 31 games, including an ACC Tournament Championship.
