Peter Woods is one of the most hyped freshmen in recent years at Clemson, but the young defensive lineman wants to “prove myself” just like he has at every other level.
“It’s the same mindset for me,” Woods said at an Dear Old Clemson freshmen NIL event on Saturday.
It likely won’t take long to see it. In his first media appearance since joining the Tigers in January and going through spring ball, the heralded Woods touched on several topics heading into his first season:
- On where whether he could play inside or outside in the fall: “I pride myself on my versatility.” Woods said he’ll play wherever the coaches believe he’ll help this season.
- Woods says Dabo Swinney and his coaching staff did a great job of selling him on coming there without using NIL tactics as the inducer.
- “I’ll be a better man for being here,” Woods said.
- Woods described this team as “tight nit.” He said the team is “crazy accountable” and it’s going to push this team to a big season.
