Tiger Tracker: Hevin Brown-Shuler Set to Announce, June Officials Coming Up

With another announcement on deck Saturday afternoon, this could end up being a big recruiting week for the Clemson Tigers.

2024 LB Drew Woodaz announced a commitment on Thursday. The 3-star prospect out of Jesuit in Tampa, Florida, is the younger brother of current linebacker Wade Woodaz. His commitment now gives the Tigers seven verbal pledges in the 2024 cycle and that number could grow by the end of the weekend.

2024 DT Hevin Brown-Shuler is set to announce his college decision on Saturday. The 4-star prospect, out of Pace Academy in Atlanta, has long been Clemson’s top target at the position. Brown-Shuler has visited multiple times over the past year, including for Elite Junior Day back in January.

If the Tigers do indeed land the blue-chip talent, he will likely be the final take at defensive tackle in the 2024 class. The number was two coming in and 4-star Champ Thompson is already on board, having committed earlier this year.

If last year is any indication, things will really start to pick up on the recruiting front starting in June. For the second consecutive season, Dabo Swinney will host official visits on that first weekend of the month. The Tigers picked up a dozen commitments last June after the big recruiting weekend, a record for the program under Swinney.

To date, the Tigers have offered just 57 players in the 2024 class and a number of those that are still uncommitted are expected to be on hand that weekend.

  • 4-star WR Alex Taylor
  • 4-star WR Bryant Wesco
  • 4-star OL Casey Poe
  • 4-star OL Eagan Boyer
  • 4-star OL Michael Uini
  • 4-star DT Hevin Brown-Shuler
  • 5-star DE Eddrick Houston
  • 4-star DE Jeremiah Beaman
  • 4-star DE Darien Mayo
  • 4-star CB Omillio Argard
  • 4-star CB Corian Gipson
  • 4-star CB Ashton Hampton
  • 5-star LB Sammy Brown

With the event still being over a month away, expect more names to be added to that list. 4-star OL William Satterwhite told All Clemson Tigers that he hopes to get back that weekend but that the trip wasn’t set in stone just yet.

Other names that could be in attendance include 4-star WR T.J. Moore, 4-star WR Cam Coleman, 4-star WR Braylon Staley, and 5-star ATH Mike Matthews. 4-star OL Jameson Riggs and 4-star DE C.J. Jackson are also possibilities.
