Dabo Swinney and Clemson are gearing up for one of its biggest recruiting events of the year.
The Tigers will host a number of priority targets this weekend as Swinney looks for a repeat of what transpired last June when the head coach hosted official visits for the first time during the summer months. Over the next five weeks, more than a dozen prospects announced commitments to Clemson.
The Tigers currently have eight verbal pledges in the 2024 class, and each of them will be on campus as well this weekend. Over the next month, it is safe to assume the number of commitments will grow.
Six wide receivers are expected to be on hand. Clemson has yet to pick up a commitment from a wideout in this class and is expected to sign two, or maybe even three in this class. It is a safe bet that those commitments come from the group of players in town this weekend, meaning it is unlikely we see the board expand any further.
- 5-star WR Mike Matthews
- 4-star WR Alex Taylor
- 4-star WR Braylon Staley
- 4-star Cam Coleman
- 4-star WR TJ Moore
- 4-star WR Bryant Wesco
Six offensive linemen are also scheduled to attend. This is another position that the Tigers have yet to secure a commitment from. With the number being three, it will be interesting to watch how this unfolds. It is very possible the board expands at some point.
- 4-star William Satterwhite
- 4-star Michael Uini
- 4-star Casey Poe
- 4-star Fletcher Westphal
- 3-star Ronan O' Connell
- 3-star Jameson Riggs
- 5-star Eddrick Houston
- 4-star Darien Mayo
At linebacker, there is just one target remaining, and the Tigers have been all in on him since the beginning. This has really turned into a Clemson and Georgia battle. Expect a decision sometime later in the summer. Probably in July.
- 5-star Sammy Brown
Two uncommitted corners will be on campus. With Tavoy Feagin having already committed, expect the staff to take just one more in this class.
- 4-star Corian Gipson
- 3-star Ashton Hampton
There will also be two uncommitted safeties. Clemson already has a commitment from 4-star Noah Dixon, meaning the staff is looking to add one more. It's possible that number could stretch to two, depending on how things play out.
- 5-star KJ Bolden
- 4-star Ricardo Jones
