With spring practice amping back up after the conclusion of spring break, a number of high profile recruits have visited Clemson, with more set to make appearances between now and the spring game.
One of the better quarterbacks in the 2025 class made his way town on Wednesday, as 4-star Stone Saunders (Bishop McDevitt, Harrisburg, PA) was on hand. Georgia, Michigan and Texas A&M, among others have already offered, and Saunders is a name worth keeping in the next recruiting cycle. He visited for the win over Louisville last November and plans to return in the summer for Dabo Swinney’s high school camp.
2024 4-star WR Rico Scott, a teammate of Saunders, also made the trip. While he does not currently have an offer from the Tigers, he is on the radar. Penn State, UGA, Alabama, Tennessee, Texas A&M and Colorado make up his six finalists, with the Nittany Lions currently considered the favorite.
The top-rated RB in the 2025 class, 4-star Gideon Davidson (Liberty Christian, Lynchburg, VA) has announced plans to be in town for the spring game. Not only is he the top-rated running back in his class, he is currently ranked inside the Top 20 overall. Davidson last visited for last season’s win over NC State.
“Incredible. Loved the vibe in Death Valley,” Davidson told All Clemson after the visit. “Definitely one of the best in the country. I’ve been to Penn State for a ‘Stripe Out,” at Virginia Tech for “Sandman,” in the Shoe at Ohio State, as well others, and they are crazy good too. Each is special in their own way. But believe me, the Clemson vibe on Saturday was so unreal. Amazing.”
Don’t be surprised to see the elite-level back actually make two visits to Clemson before the spring is over.
Another elite-level, priority 2025 target will visit on Saturday, as OL David Sanders (Providence Day, Charlotte, NC) make his much anticipated return to Clemson. The top-rated player in the next recruiting cycle has made multiple visits in the past year, but hasn’t visited since the NC State game in October.
With Clemson not offering players before the summer ahead of their junior seasons, Sanders does not have an offer yet, but make no mistake, he will top priority in the 2025 class.
2025 DT Amare Adams (Lake City, SC) is another priority target in the next class set to be on hand Saturday. The in-state prospect is one of the five best interior defensive linemen in his class and easily one of the Top 30 players in the country.
2025 QB Ryan Montgomery (Findlay, OH) will also visit on Saturday. The 4-star signal caller is another quarterback to know in the 2025 cycle.
2025 4-star RB Marquise Henderson (Belton-Honea Path, SC) will also be in attendance.
The Tigers have some 2024 priority targets set to return before the spring ends, as well. 4-star WR Alex Taylor (Grimsley, NC) told All Clemson Tigers he plans to visit on April 12, then return for the big official visit weekend in June.
4-star OL target Fletcher Westphal (Tuscarora, Leesburg, VA) has confirmed with All Clemson Tigers that he plans to visit on April 5, which is the same day 4-star OL Blake Frazier (Vandergrift, TX) is set to be in town.
