JACKSONVILLE, FL- If Brannon Spector's Clemson career is over, he will be happy to have gone out with a bang.
The veteran wide receiver, who has faced his share of adversity during his five-year career, didn't record a catch in the Tigers' Gator Bowl win over Kentucky, but was ecstatic to see his teammates finish off the victory in comeback fashion.
"Wild game, wild experience, but just happy to come out on top," Spector said. "Proud of my brothers for fighting until the end. That is what we do at Clemson. Just fight to the end to come out on top and that is what we did."
Spector does have one year of eligibility remaining, although, at this time, it doesn't look like he will be using it. And if the Gator Bowl was his last time suiting up in a Clemson uniform, Spector is more than happy with the way it ended.
"I think the decision for me coming back next year is very slim," he said. "Happy to go out with this bang."
As for what's next, Spector has that pretty well mapped out. The wide receiver will obviously take his shot at the NFL, and then after that will get into development.
"I'd like to go pro, just give that a shot," Spector said. "After that I want to get into development. Either real estate or concrete."
However, no matter what, Spector is grateful for the past five years and his experiences at Clemson.
"Truly appreciative of Clemson, though," Spector said. "Regardless of whether I come back or not, I just love everyone here and can't thank them enough."
