CLEMSON, S.C. -- Clemson University's Board of Trustees Compensation Committee approved $50,000 raises to assistant head coach Mike Reed and defensive run-game coordinator Nick Eason Friday at the Madren Center in Clemson.
The Compensation Committee also approved one-year extensions to the contracts of all 10 on-field assistant coaches, as well as the football support staff. With their raises, Reed and Eason will each make $800,000 annually. Both contracts are three-year deals. Co-defensive coordinators Wes Goodwin and Mickey Conn also saw their contracts go back to three years.
No other coaches received a raise, but they all had a year added back on to their contracts.
Clemson, of course, approved the contract of Garrett Riley on Jan. 13 to be the Tigers' new offensive coordinator. He will make $1.75 million annually, one of the highest paid assistant coaches in the country.
