Clemson Gets Commitment From 4-Star Defensive Tackle (Recruiting)

Nick Eason and Clemson just keeps adding talent along that defensive line.

The latest to pledge to the Tigers is 2024 DT Hevin Brown-Shuler, who announced a commitment on Saturday. Brown-Shuler chose Clemson over other schools including South Carolina, Georgia, Michigan, Southern Cal, Oregon, Virginia and Oklahoma.

"I feel like Dabo Swinney is one of the greatest coaches in college football," Brown-Shuler said. "A family guy, a man that I definitely would play for. I'll run through a brick wall for him."

"Coach (Nick) Eason the D-line coach, best defensive line coach in the nation by far. He knows exactly what he's talking about and he has the tools to get me to the next level."

The 4-star prospect, out of Pace Academy in Atlanta, has close to 40 offers, but has long been considered a Clemson lean. He has visited multiple times over the past year, including for Elite Junior Day earlier this year. He is the second and likely final defensive tackle take in the 2024 class, joining 4-star Champ Thompson, who announced a commitment back in January.

Brown-Shuler ranks just outside the Top 100 overall in the 247 Composite and Rivals ranks him as the seventh-best defensive tackle in the country. His addition now gives the Tigers eight commitments in the 2024 cycle and two commitments in the past three days, after LB Drew Woodaz announced a verbal pledge on Thursday.
