Clemson Head Coach Dabo Swinney Meets with Media, as Tigers Open Bowl Practice (Football)

Here are the highlights from Dabo Swinney's press conference:

  • "Sheridan Jones will be out for the bowl his hip just aint working for him"
  • On Barrett Carter, Swinney said "I think if he got a first-round grade, he wouldn’t be here." "He wants to be a leader. He wants to be a captain. And he wants to be a national champion. He’s excited and so we were."

  • The team is committed to QB Cade Klubnik. "He makes elite plays, and he's gotten better at cutting out some of those disaster plays that he had early on."
  • “If it wasn't for Trent, we’d probably have to get another guy…. This ain’t no slouch now. This kid can play… He’s a really, really good third-team QB."
