Brad Brownell and Clemson added a key piece to its roster on Sunday as former Syracuse shooting guard Joe Girard III announced a commitment to the Tigers. Girard picked Clemson over LSU.

The 6-foot-1 graduate transfer averaged double digits in scoring in three of his four seasons with the Orange. In 2022, he averaged a career-high 16.4 points per game, while shooting 38.1% from beyond the arc.

Girard is the fourth addition from the portal for Brownell and the Tigers, as he joins forward Jack Clark, forward Bas Leyte and guard Jake Heidbreder.
