Family Vibe at Clemson Stands Out for 2024 DE Elias Williams (Recruiting)

2024 DE Elias Williams was one of a number of high school recruits on hand for the Clemson spring game last weekend.

It was Williams very first trip to campus and the 6-foot-4, 240-pound prospect out of Hudson, Florida, came away overly impressed by the experience.

"It was really great," Williams told All Clemson Tigers. "Some of the biggest things that stood out to me was their athletic facility. Got to see their locker room and their training room. It was probably one of the best I've ever seen. You can tell that they definitely take care of their athletes."

While the facilities were one thing that made an impression, the thing that stood out most was the family-like feel inside the program.

"It's tradition and history and also the family have there," he said.

Williams is quickly approaching the 20 offer mark, with Florida State, Miami, Louisville and West Virginia all having offered the 3-star recruit. While the Tigers have yet to offer, Williams is on the radar of the coaching staff.

"I really didn't get to talk to the coaches a lot cuz it was a really busy day," Williams said. "But my head coach was able to get a little bit of one-on-one with coach (Lemanski) Hall and he said that I have the size and I look good on film but he wants to see me in action."

If that offer were to come at some point in the future, it might be one that Williams would have to seriously consider.

"I would be blessed and excited," Williams said. "It would definitely be one of the biggest offers I have received."

While Williams has yet to decide on any kind of timeline regarding a decision, he does know he would like to get back to Clemson at some point in the future. For now, he is keeping all options open and searching for the right fit.

"The coaching staff and if they have a plan for me," Williams said of what he is looking for in a school. "Also the program. How are the players. Are they a family. And also one of the biggest things is schooling. What does the campus look like and also my classes. Do they have one I want to major in. Academics is a big part of the school for me because I'm not just going to play football at a school for four years, I am also going for school."
