Four-Star EDGE Flips Commitment from Clemson to Duke (Recruiting)

The 4-star defensive end from Grimsley, NC, made headlines on July 20 by committing to Clemson, choosing the Tigers over a competitive field that included Georgia, South Carolina, and Duke. However, just two months later, Bryce Davis flipped his commitment from Clemson to Duke.

The 6-foot-3, 245-pound defensive end from Grimsley High School in Greensboro, North Carolina. Davis received an offer from the Tigers last June and has made several visits over the past year, including a significant official visit weekend in June.

Davis’ decision to decommit reduces Clemson’s 2025 recruiting class to 14 verbal pledges. The Tigers 2025 class boasts three standout four-star defensive line commits: DL Amare Adams DL Isaiah Campbell, and EDGE Ari Watford.
