Dabo Swinney’s squad takes on Florida Atlantic on Saturday at 8 p.m. inside Memorial Stadium before hosting FSU next week.

While it’s been a fairly quiet week inside the program, All Clemson Tigers has a few nuggets to share.

Injury report

As of this evening, we are not expecting nickel package starter Andrew Mukuba to suit up for the FAU game. He missed last week’s Charleston Southern contest and has been deemed “day-to-day” by Swinney as Mukuba is dealing with a “lower-body injury.”

Sources close to the situation tell us that it’s been expected that Mukuba will likely miss a couple of weeks, which includes Saturday, and it’s very much in question if the junior defensive back will be back for the FSU game.

It’s not an injury that will keep him out long-term, but his availability depends heavily on being cleared for action.

In his absence, Clemson will use a lot of linebacker Wade Woodaz in the hybrid role and will have freshman safety Khalil Barnes and freshman cornerback Avion Terrell man Mukuba’s spot when the Tigers go smaller in obvious pass situations.

Those are two are very inexperienced and while they’re working hard to get up to speed, it would not be an ideal situation if Mukuba can’t play against an FSU receiving corps that is extremely talented and difficult to defend.

Personnel update

•One receiver who’s in great need of a big game is starter Adam Randall. He’s only had five targets all season, and his three catches for 15 yards has been quite underwhelming for a guy who has the size and pedigree to be used much more in this offense.

Sources told us back in fall camp last month that Randall struggled getting separation, and he didn’t “attack” the ball well. That’s shown up some already through two games. Randall has been used primarily in the screen game, where those skills aren’t as valuable.

He likely needs to prove something this week with the Seminoles on deck, and if Cole Turner (lower-body injury), who’s expected back this week, and/or Troy Stellato make plays against FAU, it wouldn’t be a surprise if Randall starts losing key reps.

Recruiting

2025 defensive back target Deuce Edwards (Trinity, Richmond, Va) confirmed with All Clemson Tigers that he plans to be in attendance for the game against Florida Atlantic.

The 3-star prospect will arguably be the most notable target on hand. Edwards nabbed his offer back in the summer after working out at Dabo Swinney's high school camp.

Tennessee is also set to get a September visit.

Expect numerous targets on hand for next week's matchup against Florida State, although the noon kickoff might keep a handful from being able to attend.

However, All Clemson Tigers has learned that 4-star in-state DL Amare Adams (South Florence) will make the trip.

Adams is the top player in the state and one of the top DL in the 2025 class. He ranks No. 134 overall in the 247 Composite.
