Most of the month of February is a dead period, but there are many potential Clemson recruiting targets already lining up spring visits, including two prominent offensive linemen that currently hold offers from the Tigers.
While the staff already has three commitments from OL in the 2025 class, they are still looking to add at the position.
4-star Max Buchanan (Seminole, Sanford, Fl) tells ACT that he plans to be back on campus in the spring, and is shooting for March 4, although he says that is not yet set in stone. Buchanan last visited for the win over Notre Dame. He was not able to attend the Elite Retreat due to a death in the family.
Several members of the Clemson coaching staff, including Dabo Swinney and Matt Luke, made a stop by Buchanan's school during the contact period last month. He also tells ACT he plans to take an official to Clemson in June.

5-star OL Josh Petty (Fellowship Christian, Roswell, Ga) still says he plans to get back to Clemson in the spring, although he doesn't have the specific date ironed out just yet. Petty was in Miami for a 7x7 the same weekend Clemson held its Elite Retreat last month and is currently in the middle of his high school wrestling schedule. He says once that ends, he will start scheduling visits again.
3-star in-state DB Cam Strong (TL Hannah) also tells ACT he plans to visit in the spring, but has yet to set the date. Strong visited for a bowl practice late last year, and although he doesn't have an offer just yet, that could change at some point in the future.

One of the top players in the 2026 class, 5-star CB Samari 'Smoke' Matthews (William Amos Hough, Cornelius, NC) told me he has plans on getting to Clemson at some point in the spring. Clemson won't start offering 2026 prospects until the summer, but Florida State, Kentucky, Colorado, Tennessee, NC State and South Carolina have all offered.
2026 in-state WR Jordan Gidron (Ridge View) tells me he will be back in Clemson for the next Junior Day on March 9.
