Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney met with the media Sunday evening following the Tigers 66-17 win over Charleston Southern Saturday. This is what the head coach had to say:

  • "To hold the opponent to 73 yards, I don’t care who you play, that's really hard to do"
  • "Thought our crowd was awesome. Injury-wise we are in good shape. Didn't have anybody come in with anything serious."
  • "A good game. What we needed. Kind of get on track. I think the guys got a glimpse of what they could be. It's hard to win games when you lose the turnover margin. Lot of good things in the game, still a long way to go."
  • "I'm really impressed with our offensive line. Really good protection and the depth. When we put the second group in there, they played really well. A bunch of long drives which is indicative of doing the routine things well."
  • "Unfortunate that 14 points were on the board, and I think they had negative yards at that point. But overall, a really good day defensively. Offensively, another really productive day but we were able to get the points."
  • "Proud of the team and the staff- quick turnaround. Outside of a few really, really, really, bad plays by Cade-- we looked like Clemson football. I saw a team that got better as the game went."
  • “I think our depth is a positive for us”
  • "Back-to-back games that we've been 80-something plays. Our think our depth is a positive for us. Tempo is kinda dictated by the situation. We've been really good when we've gone tempo."
