4-Star QB Announces Commitment to Clemson (Recruiting)

Clemson has added another cornerstone piece to its 2025 recruiting class.

4-star QB Blake Hebert (Central Catholic, Lawrence, Ma) announced a commitment to the Tigers on Friday, choosing Clemson over other notable offers that included Notre Dame, Auburn, South Carolina and Penn State. The Fighting Irish and Gamecocks both offered within the past week.

Hebert's announcement comes just two days after 4-star RB Gideon Davidson became the first commitment of the 2025 class, and gives Dabo Swinney two key offensive pieces very early in the process.

The 6-foot-3, 215-pound Hebert picked up his offer from Clemson back on June 1 after working out for the coaching staff at one of the early session's of Swinney's high school camp. Offensive coordinator Garrett Riley spent a lot of time watching and coaching the rising junior and obviously liked what he saw.

As a sophomore, Hebert completed 111-of-185 passes for 1,748 yards. He had 24 touchdowns and just one interception in 12 games.

Hebert's commitment not only means that the Tigers have their 2025 QB on board early, but it's also a sure-fire sign that the staff will not take one in the current 2024 class.
