Tyler Brown Recaps Career Day Against Syracuse, Says Clemson Has 'Dawgs' In WR Room (Football)

Freshman wideout Tyler Brown played a pivotal role in the Tigers' 31-14 win over Syracuse, notching eight catches for 151 yards, both of which were career highs.

Brown met with the media following the victory, addressing the masterful performance.

What We Heard

  • "Coaches came in with a good game plan, and I feel like we just got better today and we continue to get better every week. We are going to be brothers and we are going to fight it out."
  • After the FSU loss a week ago, Brown felt like some were starting to doubt this team. "At the end of the day we are going to try and do what it takes to win."
  • Brown said he has a lot of belief in the wide receiver room and can't wait for Antonio Williams to get back. "We got dawgs."
  • "He is a ball player," Brown said of Cade Klubnik's ability to scramble and his ability to keep plays alive while keeping his eyes downfield.
  • On his first time playing in the dome in Syracuse, Brown said "100 yards is 100 yards.
  • "We got ball players and if you got that there is always opportunities to make plays down the field."
  • When asked about growing into the go to guy in the passing game, Brown gave all the credit to his fellow wide receivers, noting how they run routes only helps him be more successful. He said from the day he arrived the receivers in the room took him under his wing.
  • Brown said the biggest thing he has learned in his short amount of time on campus is learning the offensive concepts.
